Unit III: Interpretation of Topographical Sheets Arrangement, identification and interpretation of topographical sheets of India; Delineation of drainage basin and its geographical significance; Profile: Transverse and longitudinal; Drainage network analysis: Linear and areal properties; Relationship between stream order, number and length. 

Unit IV: Analysis of Drainage Basin Relief aspect of drainage basin: (i) area-height curve, (ii) Altimetric frequency curve, (iii) Hypsographic curve, (iv) Hypsometric integral curve and (v) Clinographic curve. Development of slope and various methods of its analysis (Wentworth and Smith’s method).
